Our Mission

The Charleston Community Events Center (CCEC), presented by Kitsap Haunted Productions (KHP), is organized and operated exclusively for charitable and community-building purposes. Its mission is to provide an accessible, inclusive, and affordable space where individuals, families, and organizations can host events, gatherings, and activities that strengthen community connection and engagement. CCEC supports a wide range of public and private uses while also producing seasonal and cultural programming—including immersive events and performances—that enrich the local community and foster creativity, collaboration, and shared experiences.

What We Do

CCEC is designed to serve a broad and inclusive range of community members, fostering a sense of connection and participation across multiple demographics. Specifically, the center targets are:

  • Local businesses and organizations: Providing affordable rental spaces for hosting events, meetings, workshops, and other activities that contribute to community development and local commerce.
  • Youth engagement: Encouraging participation from young people (ages 15+) through volunteer opportunities with the annual Kitsap Haunted Productions Haunted House and other special haunted events, which serves as a community attraction.
  • Community supporters: With a strong history of community involvement, KHP has consistently supported local programs and organizations, including the Kitsap Food Bank, Kitsap Humane Society, and the Central Kitsap School District.
  • Scholarship Programs. KHP’s commitment to community philanthropy will continue through the CCEC’s outreach and financial support of local initiatives.

Through these efforts, CCEC aims to be a vital resource for individuals andorganizations of all ages and backgrounds, with a special focus on providing volunteer opportunities for youth and small businesses to grow and engage with the community through venue rental.
